Adam Aznou Joins Everton in €11m Transfer from Bayern Munich

Everton announced earlier today that they have signed fullback Adam Aznou to a four-year contract, with a transfer fee of nearly £8 million reported, along with add-ons. Reports indicate that there is no buyback clause in the sale agreement; however, the German giants do have the rights to match any transfer fee that the Blues will receive for him if they choose to sell him on, with a sell-on clause also included in the deal.

The 19-year-old left-back is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth academy before switching to Bayern Munich’s academy in 2022. He made his debut for Bayern in November 2024, before finishing out the 2024-25 season on loan with Real Valladolid, featuring 13 times for La Liga’s bottom side.

Blessed with dribbling ability while still developing his defensive game, the teenager is highly touted by analysts of the game. Under Vincent Kompany at Bayern, Adam Aznou was unable to impress the manager, who has shown a preference for veteran experience.

Speaking to the club’s media after signing his contract, Adam Aznou said –

“I’m so happy to be here. I’m so proud to be part of this team.

“The project they gave me is really good. The Premier League is the best league in the world, so I’m really excited to start.

“The stadium is really nice. It gives you a good feeling, and it’s good for our fans to support us. It’s perfect for us.

“I just have to say I’m really thankful to be here. I’m really proud, so I will give everything in every training session and every game.”

The Toffees’ fourth signing of the summer also talked about how he was convinced to make the move by manager David Moyes.

“[Moyes] talked with me, he spoke with me about the team and how he wants me. So I decided directly when I spoke with him.

“I decided really quickly because of the words he gave me. He gave me confidence, so I decided to sign.”

On the new signing, Moyes said –

“We are pleased to bring Adam to Everton. He’s a young talented player with a lot of potential.

“Left-backs are not easy to get, and we’ve brought in a young player who we hope will grow in his time at Everton.”
