Jaron Ennis Set for Showdown with Undefeated Knockout Machine in New Division: “It’s Done”

Jaron Ennis is on the verge of a new and exciting chapter in the world of boxing. The previous unified welterweight world titleholder has taken a big step by relinquishing his WBA and IBF belts to fight in the super-welterweight division, weighing 154 pounds. The fans cannot wait to see him take on some of the best fighters within this new division.

Just the other day, the promoter of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, made the exciting revelation to IFL TV: Ennis has contracted to fight the knockout phenomenon, Vergil Ortiz, on the condition he gets a victory on debut this year at super-welterweight. It appears boxing fans can expect to be treated to an exciting showdown not long after the’ next fight of Ennis.

“Jaron is seeking a good fight,” Hearn stated. “Once he makes his debut, he’s seeking to fight anyone to embrace the challenge. In discussions with Golden Boy and DAZN, we’ve ironed out the plans for Jaron to fight Vergil Ortiz.”

Not only did Hearn confirm the fight to be imminent, but he even suggested dates and locations. The fight will happen between January and February, and it will be a draw between the cities of Dallas, Philadelphia, or even Las Vegas. Given the fact that Ortiz will fight come October, the setup is for what will be an electric showdown. Vergil Ortiz, with an impeccable unbeaten record of 23-0 and 21 knockouts, is no stranger to the spotlight. His last fight saw him beat Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision back in February. Oscar De La Hoya, the promoter of Vergil, has also come out with statements implying the fight with Ennis is not only on the horizon but “inevitable.”

The hype for this fight is building, and the fans cannot wait to witness these two up-and-coming stars come head-to-head in perhaps the most exciting fight of the year!
