Juventus Beat Inter 4–3 with Goals from Both Thuram Brothers

Juventus defeated Inter Milan 4-3 on Friday night in a thrilling Derby d’Italia that was full of drama, family pride, and an incredible late winner.

In order to set up a dramatic finale, brothers Marcus and Khephren Thuram, sons of French legend Lilian Thuram, were unavoidably the center of attention. They both scored goals for opposing teams within six minutes of one another.

With the score tied at 3-3 heading into the final moments, 19-year-old substitute Vasilije Adzic stepped up with a stunning 30-yard strike in stoppage time, sending the Allianz Stadium into raptures and keeping Juve’s perfect start to the Serie A season intact.

End-to-end action in Turin

Former Bournemouth and Newcastle defender Lloyd Kelly opened the scoring with his first Serie A goal, calmly side-footing home after 14 minutes. Inter replied on the half-hour mark through Hakan Calhanoglu, whose sweeping finish dragged the visitors level.

Eight minutes later, Kenan Yildiz restored Juve’s advantage with a powerful low drive, only for Calhanoglu to strike again in the 65th minute, this time with a thunderous volley from the edge of the box.

The final stages produced the biggest drama. Marcus Thuram put Inter in front with a towering header from a corner, but younger sibling Khephren responded swiftly, nodding in a free-kick to square the game once more.

Family rivalry, Juve joy

The brotherly subplot gave the clash extra sparkle, with Khephren later joking about the significance of his header.

“After the goal, Marcus said, ‘well done’, with the eyes of a brother, but he wasn’t laughing,” he told DAZN. “He teases me about headers, and so does dad, so today I’m happy.”

Then came Adzic’s moment of brilliance, the teenager hammering home from distance in stoppage time to seal Juve’s third straight win.

Contrasting fortunes

The victory keeps Juventus top with nine points from nine, while Cristian Chivu’s Inter are left reeling after back-to-back defeats, collecting just three points from their opening fixtures.
