Leeds, Everton Chase Juventus Talent After Forest Exit Falls Through

Leeds United have positioned themselves as one of three Premier League clubs interested in Juventus forward Timothy Weah, especially after he opted against a move to Nottingham Forest. This development has been reported by Guardian journalist Ed Aarons, who notes that Bournemouth and Everton are also in the hunt for the American forward as the summer transfer window unfolds.

Weah’s situation became notable when he was omitted from Juventus’ squad during their 5-2 loss to Manchester City in the Club World Cup. This absence follows the Serie A club’s reported agreement to transfer him, along with Samuel Mbangula, to Nottingham Forest. Last season, Weah made an impressive 43 appearances for Juventus, netting six goals and contributing five assists, which played a pivotal role in the team’s fourth-place finish in Serie A.

The 25-year-old is recognized for his aggressive, attack-oriented style of play and versatility, having successfully lined up as a striker, left winger, and even at full-back. His impressive ability to adapt to different roles on the pitch makes him a highly attractive option for various teams looking to strengthen their attacking lineup. Whether playing as a forward or contributing in a supporting role, his skills can add significant depth to any squad’s offensive strategy.

In addition, despite Leeds United recently acquiring forward Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer, the club is actively scouting for additional attacking talents. With an eye on bolstering their roster for the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League season, Leeds is focused on enhancing their attacking options to compete at a higher level. They understand the importance of having a diverse array of attacking players to navigate the rigors of the league and aim for a successful campaign ahead. Securing a new No 9 is of utmost importance for the club as they aim to make a strong impact in their return to the Premier League after a two-year spell away.

Joel Piroe, Mateo Joseph, Patrick Bamford, and Joe Gelhardt are currently part of Daniel Farke’s attacking corps. However, Piroe’s ability to do well in the Premier League is causing fans to become increasingly worried. The fact that Joseph and Bamford have been linked to moves outside of Elland Road raises more questions about the team’s depth and stability heading into the upcoming campaign.
