Man United could boost PSG’s finances this summer

Man United could provide Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) a significant financial boost if they secure two key signings during the summer transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Manchester United plans to scout two potential striker targets during the international break: Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and Hugo Ekitike, who are set to play against each other on Friday night.

Additionally, CaughtOffside reports that Manchester United may have an edge over Manchester City in the race to sign Xavi Simons next summer. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Simons has officially joined RB Leipzig on a permanent deal from PSG, valued at €80 million, including add-ons. The initial fee is €55 million, and the deal includes a sell-on clause.

Romano also mentioned that Simons’ contract runs until June 2027, but he could still be on the move this summer, with multiple clubs already expressing interest.

Le10Sport highlights the potential earnings for PSG from the sales of Xavi Simons and Hugo Ekitike, taking into account reported asking prices and sell-on clauses. Both players are poised for summer transfers.

RB Leipzig is reportedly asking for €80 million to release Simons. Since PSG holds 20 percent of the resale profits from Simons’ transfer, his departure could earn the club around €6 million. Meanwhile, Ekitike is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer, with a price also set at €80 million. If he moves for that amount, PSG would receive approximately €13 million.
