Senne Lammens Approves Man Utd Move as Amorim Supports Deal

Manchester United has officially begun discussions with Belgian club Royal Antwerp regarding a potential transfer for young goalkeeper Senne Lammens. This move comes after the club received approval from head coach Ruben Amorim, who sees Lammens as a valuable asset for the team’s future.

The decision to look for a new goalkeeper stems from the continued uncertainty surrounding the futures of Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana, two existing players who have come under fire for their performances. The team wants to bolster its roster, especially in the goalkeeping position, as the summer transfer window approaches.

In addition to this possible move, Manchester United has already made great progress in the transfer market by acquiring striking players Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to increase their offensive options for the forthcoming campaign.

After asking about the possibility of finalizing a deal, the Reds are stepping up their interest in the young Belgian talent. Senne Lammens is 6ft 5 and has been touted as ‘phenomenal’, and is expected to depart from Antwerp this summer as the club aims to sell their standout player amid significant interest from clubs across Europe.

Manchester United reportedly have a ‘serious’ interest in the 23-year-old, with manager Amorim backing the potential transfer to bring Senne Lammens to Old Trafford. Personal terms are believed to be manageable, and Lammens views a move to Manchester United as a “dream”, having already expressed his approval for the transfer.

While negotiations continue for Senne Lammens, United are focusing on player sales to improve their financial situation. Tyrell Malacia, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho are all available, while Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan with a buyout option; the Spanish team will pay him for the season.

Finding a buyer for Bayindir, who is keen for more consistent playing time and may leave this summer, is just as important to the completion of a deal for Senne Lammens as settling with Antwerp. Aston Villa goalie Emi Martinez has also drawn interest from Manchester United, but despite the player agreeing to a move, a loan offer has already been rejected.
