Five Limerick Schools Featured in Munster U18 Squad for Clash with Leinster
Tomorrow afternoon promises to be an exciting day for local rugby fans as five schools from Limerick will come together to support their representatives when the Munster U18 team takes on Leinster in their second Interprovincial match. The game will be held in Energia Park, and the kick-off is set for 2:30 PM.
At the head of Ardscoil Rís are captain Ryan McCormack and his colleagues, Cathal O’Doherty and Najim Jagana. Crescent Comprehensive will be represented by Alan Cleary on the field. For players Kevin Griffin and Ben O’Connell of Castletroy College, St. Munchins College will be represented by Michael Landers and Conor Dillon, and Caden Smith of Glenstal Abbey completes the representatives of schools from Limerick.
This comes on the back of Munster’s exhilarating meeting with Ulster just last Saturday, which was won in the dying moments when a try by the forwards won them an incredibly close contest with a score of 33-29. Munster, who are nicknamed ‘The Red Army’, will be aiming to carry on from such an impressive form when they take on an intimidating Leinster side tomorrow.
